Still figuring on the page design...

...but cooling down with some work on Panel 3. Experimented with a rope brush. Didn’t work but it should still prove useful. Will still be able to use this panel though I want to put a bit more of Meg in the image rather than just her shoulder. Point is, progress! Will be interested to see...

...Glad I took the extra time.  Not sure how I feel about the reaction lines in the first panel.  Kinda hot and cold about them.  Let me know what you think of her expression too.

...is pretty much done and ready for lines. Not bad. I really wanted to fit Meg into the frame but I couldn’t work it without everything looking awkward. Wanted a big splash kinda page, but...guess I’m still learning.

...to a Sam and Val sketch. Had a busy weekend of work and family business, but I’m glad I got a fun sketch started before the week begins. With all the positive reactions I got from the Sam drawing I knew I had to pair her up with Val as soon as possible. We’ll see how it comes together.<...

Starting a new chapter is always a bit intimidating (we've got a long road ahead) but it's going to be a fun challenge.

I experimented a little.  I did panels 2-3 in pencil rather than digital.  It is still a challenge to do the final lines in digital...

Sam Warmup...

...not bad! A little stiff. Needs a redraw but pretty good. More curves needed. I miss drawing Sam. Fortunately she has some fun scenes coming up soon. Speaking of which, let’s finish page one, shall we?

Made it to toning...

...did panels 2-3 in pencil in hopes of getting some of the finer details right. We’ll see how it matches up in the end. It’s still much easier to do lines with pencil. Maybe I’ll switch to pen someday.

Finally...

...the next page is coming together! I spent a lot of time piecing it together and reshaping the boxes, but I’m finally happy with it and getting the line art done! I wanna put a lot of detail into panels 2-4 so I’ll actually be doing those tomorrow in pencil. We’ll see how it looks.

DevArt Menu...

...Turns out I can customize the menu bar over on my DevArt Gallery, so I'm gonna give it a go.  Here's a few menu boxes to start with, just for fun.  A good little side project to keep me working while I figure out the details for the next page.

...been scratching my head trying to piece together the first page when it occurred to me... I better figure out what the rope tie looks like.

I like this pose, like she’s looking in a mirror. Think I’ll save it for page 3.
