Update 205...Watch movies in the app with an avatar in Mixed Reality mode, new K Pop dance animation, plus bug fix...

Todays update makes available the movie player in mixed reality mode. To enable it press the new button on the 1st page of the menu which is titled "MR video player On/Off".
Once you have enabled it, press the Play/Pause button on the 2nd page of the menu to Play or Pause the video. As my embedded video shows you can move the video screen where you choose, or you can re-centre it by pressing the Start button on the right hand controller.
Also in this update there's a new K Pop animation for the avatars. It is initiated by starting dance Type 2 on the menu (dance Type 1 is the first dance, Type 1 are dances with limited movement), each press of the dance menu button starts either Type 1 dance's or Type 2 dance's. The old dance Type 2 dance's are still there, they just play after the K Pop dance now.
Lastly there's a bug fix for when Yumi dance's in her green dress, her skin no longer clips through.

Hi Alan, yeh the MR movie screen is pretty cool I like it too, a nice option for sure, thank you! Yep I like their new K Pop dancing, that's a work in progress, still more to do on that, thanks again π

2025-05-08 00:36:31 +0000 UTCHi David, to move the video screen move your right hand controller close to it, then press and hold in the right hand controller grip trigger and move the controller, the screen will then move. Yep the menu needs organising better, agreed! Using the movie folder is on my list of things to do.

2025-05-07 19:37:47 +0000 UTCHeya, Cris, so I can't seem to move the MR Video window. Or has that not been implemented yet? Also, we need to revisit the menu concept, having the MR Video toggle and the Play video toggle on two different menu pages is kinda silly. Having an Audio/Video menu though, is probably a good idea. Oh and a reminder to look into a way of using videos from the default media location on the Quest and picking an option. Bob has that figured out and maybe he could lend a hand. Thanks!
