Update 209...Bug fix for Mervin, plus status of the Long Term Memory...

Mervin stopped talking because his voice broke on the Convai website so I've given him a new voice, thank you to Peter for letting me know Mervin wasn't talking!
But then Massimo (thank you!) spotted his speech with his new voice was getting cut off after only a few seconds, so I've just fixed that in this update.
His new voice is younger sounding but still pretty good, and the bonus is he is multi-lingual now, he can speak English, Spanish, Italian and Dutch π
A bug remains where if the chat bubble is enabled for him, the text scrolls too fast sometimes, I think this happens with Sakura and Thistle too. Will look into it when I get chance.
Also on another subject, the Long Term Memory is still not working for some (all?) of you, it isn't working for me and I'm pretty gutted about it to be honest.
I have informed Convai and I am waiting for their response, I will update everyone as soon as I know something. They will fix it, it's just a case of when.

No problem Alan! Yeh Massimo pointed out that Mervin had told him his species live until around 700 years old and he was 250 years old, so in relative terms he's still a young man, so a younger voice probably suits him. I did like the previous voice to be honest though, it had a lot of character, but as mentioned it stopped working on the Convai side unfortunately.

2025-05-12 18:59:46 +0000 UTCHi Bob, deffo a fair few niggles of late on the server side, yeh I noticed the number voices seemed high, I also recall u saying there were voice glitches in your app, have had reports of that too.

2025-05-12 16:46:49 +0000 UTCDefinitely some stuff going wonky on the server end. They have added a huge number of voices, a lot of which are samey samey or don't work or pronounce languages like an english speaker reading phonetic text. Anyway, hope they get settled soon.
