Housing Crisis - Are We Doomed?

[Early Access]

Hello Patrons,

The results are in for the video suggestion poll and you patrons wanted a video on the housing crisis so here we are. We hope you like the video and will be doing more coverage on this topic focusing on individual states and how it is being addressed at that level.

The results of the poll are attached to this post.

We intended to put this out publicly today but it's only just been finished so we'll put it out soon at a decent time. Perhaps even on the weekend.

Let us know what sort of videos you'd like to see next in the comments and we'll make another suggestion poll in the coming weeks after we do some more Patreon exclusive Q&As. We've been a little tied up lately now that Jordan's touring is in full swing but we hope you like this video and other projects we've got in the works.

Thanks for your support,
The FJ Crew.

I would like to see a video regarding the voice to parliament.

One of the best videos you've made. I love the Howard Morrison impersonations... they're so accurate it's like going back in time. Lol... thanks Scomo

Would like to see a video on CBDCs

Anybody suggested the screwed up Age Care industry? or is it just too boring?

Hey Jordan, I have been following a reddit post about this, it's pretty fun. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Cheers Jordan, it's worth noting Prosper has more to come. We did a Prosper presentation recently (report will be released in May) on what impact "building 130,000 dwellings overnight" (a ludicrous number no "supply" advocate would dream of) would actually have on the market. https://www.prosper.org.au/2023/03/pandemic-rental-dynamics-an-unnatural-experiment-in-excess-supply/ Turns out thanks to COVID, we know it's bugger all. Truth is you can't make housing affordable using market (private sector) driven housing supply. Historically affordable housing has only ever been achieved with heavy government intervention in land/housing, including directly building/developing housing. Singapore is the best example, but even Robert Menzies knew Governments had to build houses and sell them cheap if they wanted to grow the number of conservative voting home-owners: https://www.fresheconomicthinking.com/p/did-public-housing-create-the-australian There is a form affordable housing delivered by the free market, it's called slums! https://www.fresheconomicthinking.com/p/slums-are-how-the-free-market-houses

Warhammer 40k Tattoo update video!

Nice video and I agree with all your points, however the other elephant in the room is Labor's eye watering immigration policy. Check out Alan Kohler's pretty damning video https://youtu.be/QEg5RLpXEO4

Next video on what came second in the last poll - Julian Assange. Significant pressure has been placed by politicians around the world, with the notable exceptions of anyone in the Labor cabinet.
