Honestly given the fact that heros are often destroyed in politics (not to say heros can’t be in labor, they can potentially and maybe they’re just playing their cards right idk depends, there is a lot of corruption though and I am honestly suspicious of any politician, all of them have to earn my trust through actions). Also I agree with the greens on this one, that labor does need to go further from the article I just read and just history so far, we’ve already failed to reach our 2030 goal and now we’re saying we should do less than half. Also labor has rejected a rental housing price freeze and at every point rejected greens push for more action of climate change, I looked at the news and can 100% guarantee you that these people are being slandered, it took 2 articles and every headline I’ve seen and person online.

How do you know that they know they’ll never be a mainstream party? Also they hate liberal more than anything but they pressure labor a-lot because they are the only party they’ll work with. Honestly at this point everything but the greens seem like an absolute dumpster fire even just reading all confrontations, they have been slandered and I’m almost done even looking into it all of it just seems like nonsense upon reading it, I read an article talking about the greens trying to get a carbon tax and the abc just went off about it costing jobs taxing our own government and paying foreign taxpayers for our carbon use, if we did do a carbon tax, why are we paying foreign tax payers (like what?) we’re paying other countries for our tax? The same article detailed that the greens want a 73% cut to emission by 2030 (plan was to have net 0 by 2030 2 years prior or so, I remember clear as day) but labor said only 43% now, this was in 2021 following in line with the united state and the rest of the world (and then I look at the united stated which recently passed a massive project for extracting fossil fuels under joe biden, who unsurprisingly is apparently corrupt now too). Also are you suggesting the greens have basically been slowly taken over? Wouldn’t be surprised since every position of power is aggressively taken by evil people but as far as I’m concerned they’re not overrun by evil people at least at the moment.

So in saying that your saying that they take away labor voters and turn them green, they could also take away liberal voters and turn them green too, my best case scenario. in addition to this they’ve taken litterally 4 seats and used them well from what I see in the news. Tbh I’m very unlikely to change my mind unless any of what mathew says is true. Also many more young people from both parties are now voting for the greens and being more friendly to labor than liberal, just like the greens. They utterly refuse to work with liberal but work with labour, leading to many disagreements. Also it’s starting to look like the green party are the most supported among young people according to statistics from the abc

Actually no they don’t it’s not a two party system, in terms of seating yeah it gives greens more seats but we use a ranking system so any votes to a candidate that doesn’t win goes to the next candidate in line. Also a lot of the people who vote greens are young and environmentally aware, potentially better off I’ll admit, and yeah as far as I can tell. I cannot understate how many of them are young though

I’ll probably have to look into this myself before and maybe have a few sources of how you came to that conclusion but yeah thanks for that

The Senate inquiry into regional banking closures is turning a blowtorch on the banks, and Westpac has melted.

What season of attack on titan are you up to?

Greens take votes away from labor allowing liberals to get in. Greens take credit for Labor policys. Greens make the Elon Musk of policy announcements. Greens fuel the "both parties are identical" bs that makes voters overall tune out. Most people that promote them end up being upper income earners, that would rather aruge about pronouns and privilege to fuel their own narcissism rather than stop the world from burning

What are your honest thoughts about The Guardian Australia? You seem to reference their news articles a lot, and you seem to be broadly ideologically aligned with them. Are they a worthwhile media organisation?

Are neel and jordan likely returning any time or are you simply too busy?

Do you think the MSM is declining in relevance with Fairfax/Murdoch being unable to stop ALP governments forming, and will they be able to get the narrative back? Also will the ABC eventually improve under a Labor govt?

Are the The Imperium of Man/God Emperor of mankind good or evil and who wins in a fight you or John barilaro, still answer the second one if you can’t for legal reasons it’s Patreon no one will dog you 😉

New viewer but I have been binging your old videos, loved the videos on Marcus Paul, seemed like a great bloke and someone that tried to do what was right despite being initially very antagonistic towards you and the labor party in general. Anyway I looked him up and apparently he was fired from his job and I was just wondering are you still in contact with Marcus Paul? I hope he is doing okay.

INXS vs Icehouse?

Indigenous rock art in Western Australia being bulldozed it's abhorrent!!! Would love to see your comments as it's a labor held state.

No question, but congratulations on engaging people into creating political change and ceasing to be as ambivalent as they were. As much as you'll probably deny it, your channel effected change in a real way during the last few elections.

Sorry if this comes out as a messy stream of conciousness but I'm tired right now and cbf fixing it. The greens started of as a pressure group for environmental issues however certain factions have been slowly working their way into the party and pushing the environmentalists out, initially former members of the communist party, then members of the democrats party and further opportunists. One example is Abigail Boyd who is a NSW Greens Senator who right before getting preselection in the Greens was working at a UK law firm as a lawyer for Adani. Another situation is Jeremy Buckingham an environmentalist who was accused of sexually assulting a greens member by a third-party in the "tree tory" opportuinist faction who accused him using parliamentary privilege therefore she face any repercusions or defamation action. This was despite a previous police investigation and internal green party investigation finding the original accusation to be fabricated. She very likely did this to increase the power of her faction. The greens use divisive identity politics similar to in the US electoral system as one of their main means of promoting themselves. This means they never represent the mainstream views of Australians, and as such they know they will never be a mainstream party. This is dangerous as it leads to radicalisation of certain groups of people, makes people more scared to discuss politics and distracts from issues of substance. A lot of their policies sound good at a surface level, but they usually revolve around "labor party policy is not good enough, needs to go further". At a surface level these policies seem better, but if you dig deep, there is never really any substance behind it. As they know they won't be in government, there is never any need for substance. This is done to wedge Labor as they are trying to win seats in Labor majority electorates. Anyway, there's probably more I can say but I can't think at the moment, I hope Jordan does a vid on this.

Thoughts on the budget? The media’s going to have a field day ripping it apart to shit on Labor, so give us your friendlyjordies beautifully minded opinion. Also, you should definitely do videos that counteract what the media say when they shit all over Labor initiatives, because now the Liberals are out you can turn your glorious wrath towards the media.

I don't have a question. Sorry.

Ahmad Mostamandi

My friend says the budget surplus means the government isn't allocating funding to services that could prevent deaths in vulnerable demographics. Is this true? Is Labor celebrating saving money that could be used to help those in need? I'm not sure what a budget surplus means.

Sam Null

One of the big points against The Greens is that they take away votes and seats away from Labor, to the detriment of both parties, allowing the LNP get in.

Michael Koorey

can you touch base with Aunty Shelly and the fam to see how they're coping

No worries, thanks 🙏

I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for u tho. Or sorry that happened.

Hi I’m just curious why everyone here is so against the greens, one of which even simply said that I have brain damage the moment I asked, didn’t even ask about my circumstances, I’m actually a current computer science student at a decent university so I’d like to think I’m not dumb, not to say that represents you. I’ve seen the greens on the radio talking about fixing rent issue and desperate climate change and even protested with them for abortion rights in Victoria, something which was heard internationally. A vast majority of them have a completely clean record I did recently discovered in NSW there were a few officials involved in a sexual abuse scheme and it was covered up by others, but nothing near on the level of corruption I’ve seen in liberals and labor either from what I’ve personally seen. Outside of NSW this was seen as a massively failure and reforms were put into place as far as I can tell and there has not been another scandal I could find online. I’ve searched the news and seen joint bills for climate change projects between labor and the greens. I’d be open to changing my mind given the facts but to me it at least in Victoria it very much seems like the greens are genuinely fighting and caring for what’s right and I’ve seen first hand news articles smearing them, falsely accusing them, did some digging and one of them even left me laughing. Also they’ve never actually been in government before they’ve only ever won a few seats so I’m not sure how you can say for sure that they do nothing when I see them campaigning and making state/national headlines with climate change bills despite only having at the moment 4 seats out of 151 nation wide, this being pretty much their all time high and having never been actually in government. This is not to mention the likely many proposals that have been turned down. I’ve read their policies and I agree with a large amount of them from immigration, hunting, climate change to the housing crisis etc. etc., the more I find out about them the more I go; dang that makes so much sense, assuming it’s not coming from other party’s smear campaigns which I’ll admit can sometimes be easy to fall into so yeah. Outside of that I respect your work and for being willing to cover these topics and in exposing bad things in Australia even willing to put yourself on the line

How can people keep up with politics/ the news without getting depressed about it? Seeing as both your channels are focused on politics and self help (shout out to Jordan Shanks), I figured you might be a bit of an expert on the topic.

Sharon

Can you do a ranking video of pet reptiles you can (legally) own in Australia? Similar to your dog breeds video.
