I love they way they are depicting Quinni and her struggles with being autistic, working with autistic children every day this is by far the most authentic portrayal I have ever seen in a tv show and that blowout she had at the end of the day was the culmination of all the different hurdles she had to get through just to get to the bookshop... knowing which bus to take and where to get off, the noises on the bus, the sudden change in plan when Sasha made them get off at the ice cream place, the excitement of meeting the author of her favourite books then the low of Sasha expecting her to go to a party as well, after all that and then the inevitable argument. I'm surprised Quinnie made it home before she let it all out. She won't recover from that for a while, she'll go inside herself and shut the world out until she feels ready to cope with it again.

2023-10-25 23:00:19 +0000 UTCI think one reason it takes me a while to get around to watching these reactions for this show is that it stresses me out more than just about any other show in recent memory. Even though it’s really well done, I think I’m going to be glad when we get to the end of it. And yes, we have Antiques Roadshow in the US, and I watch it regularly. 🙂

2023-10-19 05:57:06 +0000 UTCI genuinely dislike Sasha and how patronising she is towards Quinni in so many of their interactions. She acts as though she is almost doing Quinni a favour by putting up with her autistic “quirks”. The way she speaks about Quinni to the other girl made me so enraged. She is so bad for Quinni, and their relationship is just so toxic. Quinni’s autism is an integral, wonderful part of who she is, and she should never be made to feel anything but celebrated for it. As an autistic person myself, I think that this depiction of autism is so, so well done…as is the dynamic between Sasha and Quinni. As much as it enrages me, it’s a very accurate portrayal of how we are so often treated in relationships.

2023-10-18 16:57:33 +0000 UTCi probably worded it poorly - what i meant is to be excited for them about their interest.. not necessarily love it as well. if you do though, thats even better. obviously though, the goal in a relationship is shared happiness.. so what you say about quinni is 100% it. you should be happy for them and their achievements / positive experiences 👍🏼

If I had a partner I would not expect them to love everything I love but I would except them to be respectful and not belittle it. Also if you care for Quinni wouldn't you want to see her this excited? like she was adorable when getting her picture taken. Why miss that? If this is an important part of the person you care about then you need to care about that part if them even if you don't care about the activity.

Chook is the one who punched Ca$h for defending the Kombucha kid in the parking lot, he seems like a nasty piece of work and wouldn’t have been open to a pronoun correction.

I am however cheering on Albon and Williams at the moment too. Really hoping we see them back in the midfield/front in seasons to come. I have been loving seeing Mclaren rise to the top again - Piastri… what a bloody talent. Excited to watch his career unfold!

2023-10-17 23:46:40 +0000 UTCOk, well it took a turn since I wrote that last comment…wow…this might be an out-there take but I get the vibe that Dusty found himself more into Malakai and he doesn’t know what to do with that, and so he is lashing out and what better way than to go for the girl Malakai really likes… Sasha always rubbed me the wrong way, she wants to be seen as a do-Goode, saving the planet, I think she saw dating Quinn as another project, like look how good I am, I am dating the autistic girl. She had no real interest in what Quinn wanted, I might be wrong on both fronts but that is how I am seeing things up to this point…

2023-10-17 22:59:49 +0000 UTCLOVED your commentary about being so interested in your partners interests and their passion for it. i don't understand how people can be in a relationship if there isn't some element of that sharing of each others interests. otherwise, you're not really enjoying each others lives to the fullest? maybe ive worded that wrongly; but i think it's such a vital point you bring up and it's such a great way of expanding your horizons and interests also. being able to share in the delight of that with your partner is simply amazing. AND YESSSSS FORMULA ONE!! a fan of any particular driver or team? or people from the UK? love lando and piastri's teamwork at the moment! :] thanks as always for such a great video!
