Your ordinary life takes an extraordinary turn one night when, on your way home, you're abruptly taken by unknown forces. You're just a regular person, nothing special, until this moment. Your last memories before losing consciousness are a blur of flashing lights and the murmurs of voices speaking in an unfamiliar tongue.
When you come to, you're in a place that feels both strange and oddly familiar, surrounded by the hum of machinery.
Standing in front of you is the first alien you have ever encountered: Felynna Quorialis. Felynna has a humanoid shape, but her features are a curious mix of human and feline, like some exotic blend of leopard and cheetah, with an added layer of something you can’t place, but a mystery to be sure.
Fel, as she allows you to call her, quickly reassures you of your safety. She explains that her people, the Sekarri, come from a distant star system. Your abduction, it turns out, was a mere coincidence.
The Sekarri are on a mission of survival, fighting against a relentless drone fleet that's indiscriminately attacking and devouring planets, their next target is Gianchara Prime, a planet inhabited by humanoid spiders.
You meet Rhyzhark, the no-nonsense commander of the Sekarri ship, the Starborne Vindicator. He views humans as insignificant and intends to return all the abductees, believing you have no role in their war. However, your interactions with Fel evolve into a mutual respect, and she begins to see your potential, advocating for your place among them.
The stakes rise when it's revealed that a detachment of the drone fleet is headed towards Earth. Rhyzhark, unmoved, prioritizes the defense of the technologically superior spiders, dismissing Earth's chances. He insists their interests lie with defending the much more advanced spiders. He argues that only strong races can stand together against the drone fleet and apologises half-heartedly.
His decision leaves you desperate, but not out of hope. The crew onboard have grown an affinity for you, some sympathise with earth and others have developed bonds with you. In a defiant move, some of them provide you with a modest ship, the Dauntless, equipped with basic drone replicators—a glimmer of hope in the looming darkness.
Under Fel's guidance, along with the science officer Katyrijaga, you undertake a crash course in drone operations. This intense training transitions the game into RTS mode for now, (though the story still progresses), where you learn to command your drones and start to make your mark in the outer reaches of the Kuiper belt; away from the prying eyes of the drone fleet.
Your journey is a testament to resilience. Slowly but steadily, your forces grow, catching the drone fleet by surprise. You lead a campaign that liberates the solar system bit by bit, culminating in a desperate battle to save a battered Earth. The planet has been ravaged by the drones, their ground forces led by giant metallic spheres on legs, walking machines that consume all resources and kill anything in their way.
Millions have died, but with the few Sekarri personnel on your craft and the automated fleet you have built, you liberate Earth country by country.
With the Sekarri technology and your growing command skills, you manage to reclaim Earth, one country at a time (you have to pick which countries to liberate first)
Throughout this ordeal, the crew of the Dauntless becomes more than allies; they're your family. The ship, once a simple escape pod, evolves into a beacon of resistance, testament to your journey from an average individual to a commander of an interstellar fleet.
The narrative climaxes when you confront Rhyzhark and the remaining Sekarri forces, now in dire straits against the overwhelming drone fleet.
The spiders are all but defeated and Rhyzark’s remaining forces can't help them, Rhyzark is forced to flee and the spiders are evacuating their worlds.
All that stands against them is the Dauntless and a small contingent of British ships - rapidly built before leaving.
Rhyzhark, though stunned by your arrival, remains sceptical. He can't fathom how the Dauntless, supported only by a makeshift fleet of Earth's hastily assembled ships from the UK, can turn the tide.
The spiders in a surprising turn, leave the retreating Rhyzark to join you, they keep chanting 'drone commander', Rhyzark and his officers are enraged and angry, feeling it's futile and could weaken the fight against the drones. But some of them are hopeful, they say 'show us what you can do.'
Fel, Katirijaga begin briefing you in real time, things begin to look grim, but soon out of nowhere masses of human forces join the fight, China, USA, Europe, India and more.
The tonnage counter begins to tick up, soon it will be an equal fight: Rhyzark is stunned, everyone on his fleet, the spiders homeworlds and the dauntless are have their eyes on you.
It's time to take the fight to the drone fleet.
The ensuing battle is a testament to unity and courage, with every faction of your diverse alliance playing a crucial role. Rhyzhark, along with the rest of the galaxy, watches in awe as you lead the charge, transforming the tide of war.
As the dust settles, the game shifts back to Visual Novel mode,
The game continues with you going from planet to planet, system to system, meeting new races, developing relationships, rivals and many romantic encounters should you chose.
Your story has evolved from a tale of an unexpected abduction to a saga of bravery, leadership, and unity across the stars.
