I actually really like this episode. I love that it's revealed that Angel was aware of the The Initiative before Buffy ever knew about it, and I love how they reveal the reason that they really wanted Angel to bring that sub to surface was not actually to save the American sailors, but to get that experimentation research on nazi vampires, and likely to have that nazi work for them. This is actually based on something that happened in irl called Operation Paperclip.

I love all of the little callbacks like the Demon Research Initiative (was this the start of the Initiative from Buffy season 4 ? ) I love when Spike says he's not going to be experimented on by the government (like he was in Buffy Season 4) and when Angel says he's not getting stuck at the bottom of the ocean (like he was at the end of Season 3). I think it was shot really well and had a great story. I'm sad that Angel is almost over, but I'm looking forward to your reactions. Some really great stuff coming up.

There really deserved to be some sort of follow-up/fallout for the previous episode. I mean, Cordy's been in the Buffyverse since day one! I know S5 is a fan favorite but honestly I'll never be able to really enjoy as much as the previous seasons.
