I think it is safe to say that the Sister does not play a significant role in the series, but I personally love the introduction of her and her daughter Ella's stories into Fringe as a way of adding some ground and normalcy into the show (otherwise everyone else is already involved and it would feel less grounded and more fantastical? i guess, something like that). Her being the only one not involved in anything (any cases) and just being a regular person. Loved the story monster of the week with the guy sacrificing his life to correct some of his mistakes and save his wife. And we keep getting more pieces of the puzzle. Interesting connection, hope you realised, he is the guy that created the toxin that covered with skin every orifice in a person's body from episode 14 where Olivia defused that bomb with her mind (containing that toxin). We are getting into the final stretch, last 2 episodes and I would recommend you to watch the recaps closely for these two, as they are the main story related you are reminded of some of the things that happened until now and may have forgotten. AND MOST IMPORTANT (sorry for using caps, just so you can remember) PLEASE TRY NOT TO READ THE STARRING FOR THE FINALE EPISODE 20. AFTER THE INTRO SONG THERE IS ABOUT A COUPLE OF MINUTES OF CAST AND GUEST STARS WHICH PLEASE TRY TO AVOID! NOT TO RUIN THE SURPRISE. If you can. Please try to remember, I will also add the same message after episode 19.
