The show was highly rated and very well received, it even won an daytime Emmy. It was cancelled because Netflix is terrible. Period. There were already plans for season two and I agree that it could definitely gone on for awhile more because its a great show. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the end, it has some real twists and turns and it does end well even though it was cancelled.
