Irina durfte ich Mitte April zum zweiten Mal fotografieren. Ein Bekannter von mir, der ebenfalls Fotograf ist, hatte sie für zwei Tage zu sich ins Studio eingeladen und mich gefragt, ob ich vielleicht an einem der Tage auch mit ihr shooten möchte, um die längere Anreise für Irina ergiebiger zu machen.

Da Irina und ich schon länger wegen eines zweiten Shootings in Kontakt standen, habe ich mich sehr über diese Gelegenheit gefreut und sofort zugesagt. Ein großer Teil des Aufwands bei einem Shooting besteht aus der Kommunikation mit dem Modell und der gesamten Logistik im Vorfeld – und natürlich der Auswahl, Koordination und Buchung der Location. Dass mein Bekannter Detlef in diesem Fall den Großteil der Organisation übernommen hatte, war für mich ein echter Luxus, da ich mich so ganz auf das Fotografieren konzentrieren konnte.

Back in mid-April, I had the chance to photograph Irina for the second time. A friend of mine, who is also a photographer, had invited her to his studio for two days and asked if I’d like to do a shoot with her on one of those days. This way, Irina’s long journey would be even more worthwhile.

Irina and I had already been in touch for a while about planning our second shoot, so I was really happy about this opportunity and agreed right away. A big part of any shoot is communicating with the model and handling all the logistics beforehand—not to mention picking, coordinating, and booking the location. The fact that my friend Detlef took care of most of that this time was a real luxury for me and let me focus entirely on the photography itself.
