Should we add battles to the game?

We would love to get your opinion about one aspect of the game.
As you noticed, there are no battles in Relicts of Aeson. This has different reasons.
First of all, it is one of the most annoying features of other erotic RPGs that you have to lose a fight to see the juicy stuff. Such systems reward the player for losing. This is contrary to every good game design and uncommon in "normal" games. We wanted to avoid this at all costs. So we decided to develop our stealth system.
Also, such systems are always adding the bad taste of rape. Of course, these are just games and they usually don't show explicit violence during the erotic scenes. Nevertheless, this always felt a bit strange for us :-)
On the other hand, battles are the basic gameplay of almost every RPG. They give the player something to do, something to interact with, something that strengthen the bond between the player and the main character.
Last but not least battles are a simple way to add content to the game.
So we are thinking about adding battles now. But if we do, they won't reward you for losing. We think about something like "Collect five claws from wolves as ingredients for a magic potion". And this potion unlocks a new sexy scene with a character. So you won't have sex with your enemies.

Thank you all for your votes so far :D We didn't expect that the result would be that clear, but we are also happy that we were right with our estimation :D Battles are really not that fun in most RPG-Maker-Games. We won't close this poll, new patrons should also have the chance to vote :-)

2022-02-19 12:06:07 +0000 UTCThanks for your answer. As I wrote, we don't want to reward the player for losing, so in the end the fights would not include something like clothes destruction. However, we like the fantasy that the main character is losing on purpose to have sex. We will think about a way to include that and post our ideas in the future :-)

Clothes destruction and showing sexual harassment/ecchi content 2. For the purpose of Sex battles. Battles can also have the purpose of grinding as long as they are also showing sexy content as that's what we're here for ultimately.
