Believe it or not, Constant Listeners, but there is an archives to the Derry Private Library. Thanks to our Losers' Club historian Bryant Burnette, we have unearthed an entire vault of Stephen King material. From unpublished short stories to long-forgotten interviews, dusty manuscripts to alternate versions of your favorite tales, there is much to discuss.
So, in light of this discovery, we're kicking off our new monthly series, and we're not getting cute with a title, either. No, it's simply titled The Stephen King Archives, and today we're going to focus on the roots of the Master of Horror. Specifically...
What are these stories? Where did they come from? Listen above as Losers Randall Colburn, Michael Roffman, and Jenn Adams parse through these early, early works. To help us out, we also consulted another historian -- that being the one and only Bev Vincent. The writer and noted King scholar had much to say on these works.
And you can hear 'em all right now.
