Yes! This is an episode mostly from Xander’s perspective. We are him, and this is how he sees the world around him. Also, it gave the writers the opportunity to poke fun at the show and how dramatic it can get. You are correct that some people don’t like this episode *cough* my boyfriend *cough* because it apparently cheapens the idea that the hellmouth is such a huge threat, but I like your thoughts on it. They had to use something big like that to counteract the absurdity of the other story line. Thanks for sharing your personal perspective here. I gotta say, your “super power” is perception. You are “the perceptive one”. Some of the things you were saying had me smiling so big. You were so spot on, and I mean dead on target, about some of the things you were saying. I want to just blurt them all out to you, but I also don’t because...spoilers 😉. I just know though that as you continue to watch the show you will understand what I mean. Great reaction and great analysis. 😁

The Marx Brothers were 1930s comedians that made a series of movies that imo still hold up (as much as a '30s movie can). Groucho, Chico, and Harpo were the funny ones, while Zeppo was the unfunny one that no one remembers. Could be worse though, there was a 5th brother named Gummo that I wasn't even aware of until recently, and I loved those movies as a kid.
