Itchy Feet - sneak peak

Yellowstone by the way, seriously lacks Indigenous representation and involvement - it‘s so beautiful but all the shops just come off as a big money game to profit. Where’s the local food from local farms? Where’s the education on the land and Indigenous people, by Indigenous people? Anyway, that’s not the point of this post.

Some backstory on this song... I was on a boat for most of the summer of 2020. The Wolverine. We were in Bristol Bay Alaska for 6 weeks on the water, no land. This song is inspired by my travels and ongoing wanderlust and by my crew mate, Mangy White Bushman. He said he had itchy feet... I thought “like foot fungus?“ But no, itchy feet as in itchy to be on land, itchy to explore, itchy to see what’s beyond the next, mountain, around the next riverbend. So I wrote this song: Itchy Feet. I hope to get a full recording out to the world sometime. Let’s hope it can be accompanied by other lovely musicians. On the 7th week on the boat, we finally got to anchor in some coves to take the dingy to land. We got to itch our feet in places most humans will never visit.
