Although, I never follow the rules! So my shrug will be inspired by this pattern and what I learned from it, but not exact. If you try the pattern or have any questions, please share & ask! My goal is to be more available for crochet questions and conversations.
Some of my favorite hooks are clovers. Luna (my Alaska bff) gifted me my first clover (blue handles). We can hook talk all day if you want, but I’ll keep it short for now. When I came to New Orleans I only had two sizes of hooks. I started making this shrug with mohair yarn and a 6mm hook. WHICH I LOST! the beloved clover hook… lost
Hence, the new hooks announcement. I went for it and got allllll the sizes (well 14 of them). They aren’t clovers, but I don’t have any complaints yet. Finally, I could return to my project after what felt like an infinity waiting, searching, and not finding my big clover. I’ve been hyperfixated on this project and am trying to complete things instead of start anything new. So there was a stop in time … when I couldn’t work on the shrug.
In life, I’ve been sad. My friend came to help me hang mirrors. I’m really appreciating that change in my room. We are entering the deep gras (sounds like graw) in New Orleans. Theres one week till Lundi and Mardi Gras. Pacing yourself through carnival season is essential. Despite the chaos, I’m determined to improve my space, which I literally call my chaos dungeon sometimes. Getting coffee with friends and reminiscing on my own lore has brought me joy through rainy days. It feels good to be back to the shrug. I look forward to sharing the rest with you.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for your patience and support. xoxo Foot E.
