What is your current relationship with AI-generated images?

I've poked around with AI art and text, and I've yet to see it produce anything that isn't, at best, uncanny and soulless. More often it's stiff, lifeless or outright grotesque. To even achieve decent results, it still needs a trained human element carefully directing it, cutting away the (many) bad results and, preferably, touching it up after the fact. An animator I follow says; "the last 10% of polish is 90% of the work, but makes the difference between good and great" and from what I've seen even the best AI with a human handler can't make that last 10%, no matter how hard they try.
