Man I love this bc Rocky is mine and my family's favorite movie character of all time, and you literally cry at most of the same scenes that I do. Rocky 2 is probably my favorite of the series bc I've just always loved the romance in the film and Rocky proposing in the snow at a zoo with a tiger in the background, they had a baby etc. I love their relationship. Yes that's Frank Stallone singing in the alley. Rocky makes us cry bc Stallone invented characters that we love so much almost instantly. Once you see these movies over and over maybe you will develop my constant need to tear up every time Rocky reaches the top of those steps. The lyrics to that song while he does it is all a metaphor for our lives, never giving up and reaching the top. Getting stronger as it says in the lyrics, the steps of never giving up and you will reach your goals. Any Rocky movie when he gets to the top, I choke up and my eyes are watery af. Lol. When he yells, "Yo Adrian, I did it!" You can hear the pain, joy, struggle, the achievement, the cry in his voice. That chokes me up everytime hearing his voice on that last scene. They got you again lol. Loved that. The kids running with him, I cannot begin to tell you how huge that was back in the day. I never had a dad, Stallone, Van Damme, and Arnold were like my make belief Dads in cinema. When I was a kid it was a huge thing and so iconic seeing the kids run with Rocky. I wanted to be one of those kids so bad. For that reason and others Rocky 2 is my fave. And I love EVERY Rocky film including 5. And as much as some people try to hate on 5, I've noticed most reactors actually like it. So I think that says a lot. And I'm happy about that. I think you're gonna love part 3 and I'm looking forward to it. Yup every Rocky movie pulls at the heart strings. The producer has robbed Stallone. Stallone is currently in an online war with the producer bc they never gave Stallone any ownership of Rocky. And they've stopped him from making several other Rocky films and a TV series prequel about Adrian and Rocky in their teens. He would like to leave some of Rocky to his children when he passes on. Very sad situation bc he created all the characters, he wrote all the Rockys and directed most of them, but no ownership. And they actually pushed him out of Creed (although he kept it classy pretending it was his choice). Here's a petition going around to support Stallone.
