Quality or Quantity?

One of the most common messages I receive on exit surveys is: "Pink Horizons wasn't as active as I expected."

My monthly production goal, which you can find on the 'about' tab, is to finish eight pieces a month on average, which means one drawing is finished every three to four days. Fortunately, I've been able to keep this goal pretty steady throughout the year.

Of course, this number may be lower on the months that I'm producing new hypno files, such as right now, but even so, I believe I've been keeping quite satisfying numbers.

I wanna know how many of you are dissatisfied with my production rate, and if there's something I can do about it.

Your work is fantastic. If someone is complaining about "only" 8 pieces of legitimately really good, distinct art per month, not including the regular WIPs, an active, sociable, welcoming artist and access to your community when you only charge £2.50 per month for all that (meaning it's roughly 30p per piece, plus the other benefits on top), your rate of work isn't the problem. The problem is them getting too easily bored, which they're gonna do no matter what. It does suck, but you're doing nothing wrong. You're doing great~ ❤️

Thank you, Jack! ❤

Pink Horizons

Thank you so much for your supportive words, Ian! That means a lot! ❤

Pink Horizons

The quality and beauty of your art is why i remain here. Whether it's 1 piece or 8 a month!

JackO

I like it when artists express themselves and you can see the dedication in their work. As much as I would love to see more, I know each drawing is a long process. I have started doing art myself on my tablet. I support you because I love your work. I think the most important thing is to do what you want. That process and creativity and attention to detail is reflected in your work. So whichever method makes you happy is the right answer. Keep up the great work and do what makes you happy.

Thank you so much, Lily! With all the positive comments I received, I know you're right.

Pink Horizons

Thank you, Galez! I try not to get affected by this sort of thing, but sometimes it gets to me.

Pink Horizons

Thank you so much, Vanessa! That means a lot to me! ❤

Pink Horizons

Im pretty sure most of the people who decided to support you are here for your style and your quality. If they want quantity they can look at all the AI generated shit that flooded and ruined deviantart.

Lily Sweet

Honestly you're the most active creator I have ever followed on patreon. You should not bother with such people, they're not worthy for any changes. They would resign anyway just after finding a new reason for themselves... Keep going as you do! I love you art and all interactions you give us!

Blanca

I'm not sure what you're talking about. By the lack of activity. you're one of them more active patrionds I follow.

I've been a Patron of some people in the past that did three works per month. I left those due to "quantity". But here, I get content basically twice a week, and some in-progress stuff in between. The content runs the spectrum from fanart to commissions to 'vector art selfies' of you in cute outfits. This is a LOT of content. I'm happy. Costs this year have made me trim down my Patreon to three creators, and I stayed here.

Vanessa Rose

Well for me there already a lot of content for the time people use to take to make art, I don't really see how faster you can get

Pas Besoin

Thank you so much, Ben! I'll keep doing what I believe is right. ❤

Pink Horizons

You're too kind, Shaun! Thank you for always staying with me! ❤

Pink Horizons

Thank you so much, Kaera! ❤

Pink Horizons

Of course. Thank you so much, Stephen! ❤

Pink Horizons

Hey. I love your work and creativity shouldn’t be rushed. I had to cancel my subscription because I have been off work due to illness. I intend to reschedule when I can. The options when cancelling are not great and people are most likely just selecting the first one on the list. Keep doing what you do and don’t worry about people leaving, it can happen for any number of reasons. X

Stephen Brown

You are such an amazing artist- the quality of your work is why im here <3

Kaera Ross

Keep doing what you're doing, girl! You're literally the only artist I'm subbed to on here because I love the passion for quality you put into your work. It would break my heart to see you not put your heart into your art and potentially burn out your passion for the sake of pumping out content quickly

Shaun Harland

You really shouldn't take such allegations too seriously; your work is excellent and churning out more per time period will only hurt the quality

benjamin plumer

Yeah and you post wip. Keep it going as is!!

Mr. Tacos

Thank you for being so kind! ❤

Pink Horizons

Thank you, dear! ❤

Pink Horizons

I know. I even try to answer as many comments and messages as possible across all the social media platforms I'm in. The only messages I avoid answering are those that aren't productive.

Pink Horizons

Don't take it too seriously :) focus on enjoying what you're doing

Andi

What do they mean you literally post basically daily! Just because it’s not necessarily art every day doesn’t mean that it’s not interactive or something fun!

Vix Arilynn

I subscribe to your feed because of the quality of your art. The last thing I would want is for you to compromise that for quantity. Keep being you!
