RE: Pat Garret. Yeah, that's the history. Pat Garret shot Billy the Kid in the back. They toyed with it in this movie, but it fully plays out in part II. Part II is supposedly more historically accurate. But I think they took liberties there as well. But to be honest, jotting down historical facts in those times was really difficult.

I was wanting to see you get surprised when you heard the speech from Warren Gs "Regulate" haha. Or rather the speech he lifted from Young Guns for Regulate. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE Tombstone. But the polls kind of disrespect or forget about Young Guns for some reason these days. The movies were very popular back in the day. It was MTV's music generation. Rappers loved rapping about William H Bonney. Pat Garret referred to Billy as as fast as a flash. The reason all of them didn't sneak out with Chavez in the end is bc Chavez was on that Indian spirit type shit like Tristan. Only he could do that. These are the best movies on the Lincoln County War. Young Guns changed the way modern westerns were made. To further its mark in pop culture, Emilio Estevez was close friends with Bon Jovi, wanted to use his song Wanted Dead or Alive for part 2, Bon Jovi said no, he wanted to write a new song for the film instead and do the soundtrack. There in a bar he grabbed a napkin and in 5 minutes wrote the famous song "Blaze of Glory" for Young Guns 2. Tom Cruise too, Emilio was friends with Tom Cruise from making The Outsiders (which you should totally react to), Tom visited the Young Guns movie set of the shootout in the end. He said he wouldn't mind being a bad guy. So they suited him up. He's the guy that gets shot as soon as Charlie comes out the side door shooting and yelling Yea! Lol If you go back and slow it down you will see that's Tom Cruise lol. Billy was big on "Pals", his friends and being loved by those who followed him. As much as he should have run to Mexico he stayed riding in New Mexico and being hunted and being a celebrity to the people. Known as one of if not the fastest gunslinger in the wild west and the most wanted. Very impressive considering how young he was. #Goated haha I liked that! The movies are actually very accurate to events for the most part. Billy was big on PALS, so supposedly after his death someone put tha word on his and Charley's tombstone?? Or was it Billy himself? That brings us to part 2. There is still the story to be told of when Pat Garret and Billy were friends and rode together. That's where part 2 starts...
