Little Foot's mother in 'The Land Before Time' is a brontosaurus. Brachiosaurus is taller. It have longer front legs and shorter rear legs.

I did crack up every time J said this was a horror movie. 😂 Good choice Blank. The best part of the movie......Jeff Goldblum posing all sexy. I use that GIF all the time. 😆😆

2023-07-08 02:55:53 +0000 UTCGreat reaction video. This is one of my favorite movies, and I watched it as a kid. I was probably 12 and don't remember being too scared somehow. I think I was too awestruck to be scared, and the fact that I knew dinosaurs weren't real and were extinct allowed me to detach a bit from what was happening. The special effects blew everyone's minds at the time. It was groundbreaking in that way, and no one had ever seen anything like it, yet. It was a masterful combination of real life animatronics and CGI. The movie has so many iconic scenes, and the ripples appearing in the glass of water as the T-Rex approaches the jeeps is probably the best and most popular. Here's a detail that often goes unnoticed that I found interesting, and it involves the scene in the helicopter ride in the beginning of the movie. You noticed Dr. Grant trying to buckle his seatbelt but he couldn't because the ends of each side were female ends, so he instead tied the seatbelt into a knot. This is a bit of foreshadowing. The park staff tried to prevent the dinosaurs from reproducing by genetically ensuring they were all female. But because they contained frog genes, they were able to adapt and reproduce, anyway, as frogs sometimes do. They adapted in an unanticipated way just as Dr. Grant adapted in the helicopter and tied the seatbelt in a knot. There are many easily missed details like this throughout the movie.

Also the Tomb Raiders are 2 good movies to check out..which, reminding me of Angelina Jolie, theres Salt. And Wanted comes to mind with that too. Gone In 60 Seconds...ok Ill stop. lol Love this movie as well. It was ridiculously huge when it came out. I never had the pleasure of seeing it in theaters. Mostly because I wasnt into this stuff that much then. It just didnt grab me..I was 2 years out of high school. My mind was elsewhere. lol But thnx again. Great reactions as always. Peace and love to the Copilots and all involved.. edit: the part where the egg hatches and all I could think of was Alien lol. 2) 'they had dinosaurs lookin like this in 93' all I have to say to that is Spielberg. And on a final note, Im with ya on the allergies. Nightmare ... 365. Something is always buggin me. Born with asthma as well. And last week here in NJ, Canada made for some fun which made my life hell. I literally almost couldnt breathe. Good times.. Cool story bro LOL. Thnx again guys. = )p

2023-06-10 05:02:17 +0000 UTCTo this day Practical Effects can look so much better than even todays CGI and that period of time starting in the 90s, ending in the late 00s. when they used practical effects enhanced with well done CGI was some of the best visual looks you can find. Movies decades old still look REALLY good to this day. T2, Jurassic Park..etc. Culminating I think in some of the last really good mixture with Lord of the Rings a decade later. It was shortly after LotR that Hollywood moved completely to CGI only and it was downhill from there. Why spend so much money building and working with props when you can green screen it for a fraction of the cost? Unfortunately the best example of that change in visual quality is looking at and comparing LotR and The Hobbit.

2023-06-09 05:47:12 +0000 UTCJL did sumthin I find AMAZING! Gimme a minute to justify myself (I'm a real boy!!!) Ok. JP was my childhood. Saw it in the theatre 3 times after reading the book 2ce. First CD was JP's score. 2nd VHS was JP. I wear a "Clever Girl" or a "Dr Grant" shirt to work to this very day. (Also my name is Grant. Slither aside, only movie with a dude named Grant!) I've watched (most) ALL reactions to JP. JL is the only solid G that empathizes with Lex. She's 12 and panicking and there's a 5-ton murder machine trying to eat her. Yeah shut the light off...but you ever been in a Panic situation? My brain 💯 mushed into stupidity with a mugger's gun asking for my phone; it was nothing near what Lex was looking at. I wouldn't know to shut the light off either. (Mist, anyone?) Cheers, JL. You're the reactor we need.

2023-06-07 23:33:13 +0000 UTCThis movie was never marketed to kids when it was first released. Parents and kids were just drawn to it because....dinosaurs are cool. Steven Spielberg himself wouldn't take his own kids to see it when it was release saying he felt it was too realistic and scary. And the reason why the effects are so good and continue to stand up today (and I agree, are better than CGI today) is because they used a combination of CGI and practical effects. Many of the dinosaurs were animatronics that the actors were able to react to or act with.

2023-06-07 23:15:27 +0000 UTCThis is such a wonderful movie. J, you were asking about the toilet paper near the first part of the film. Well it ties into a loooong running toilet joke. First you have the toilet paper, then you have the guy on the dock in the rain talking to Nedry saying, "we gotta go, we gotta go!", then you have the tricerotops poo piles, then Jeff Goldblum says, "when you gotta go, you gotta go" when the lawyer hides in the bathroom and gets killed sitting on the toilet, then at the end after they get in the jeep and go to the helicopter pad to leave the island you can see the side of the jeep's door where mud has covered the J and the ic of the words so it says, urass park (your ass park). So there is a big long potty joke/dad joke within the whole film and in 30 years since it came out I have never heard anyone talk about this easter egg. LOL

But the animatronics still hold up AMAZINGLY well. I do love the shot when Grant tells Lex to turn the light off. They seamlessly have a puppet T-Rex head turn and a CGI T-Rex walks towards the other car. Always loved that switch, even as a kid. LoL

And then we have the Jurassic World movies?? I can't wait for J to do these. These will definitely be watch everyday. E'RY DAY BABY!!!

"Shut up about that stupid dinosaur book you always talk about," my friend replied. And then the teaser ended with a mosquito in amber and I CHEERED, losing my mind to EVERYONE's confusion. (Trailer didn't even show a dino.)
