First Time Watching The Lost World: Jurassic Park!!!

yeah, it is easy for people living in the US to have an overly sensitive view of animals we forget that a lot of people grow up where wildlife is an everyday threat to survival in one way or another.

I feel you; this movie is just as good as the first. I'll give people that yes, it doesn't feel like it has as tight of a narrative as the first. That's intentional, and how movies like this one and Action Adventure can feel a lot of the time. Plus, Crichton was there the entire time, helping Spielberg and the writers make the edits and changes. Fuck he wasn't even going to write a second Jurassic novel until he was inspired to do so, working with Spielberg on the first movie.

Exactly from research I've done herds of African elephants that grow too large will decimate their environment leading to a bunch of the Elephants dying of horrible disease and starvation. Nature is a cruel bitch and part of being a Good Shepard is knowing when it's time to cull some of the herd.

I wouldn't say that firstly he never intended to hurt the baby rex. In the novelization they made for this movie, we find out that it was Ludlow who slipped in the mud because of his dress shoes and landed on its leg. Roland does suffer from the loss of Arjay and changes for it. With his statement at the end, "I believe I've spent enough time in the company of death." We can intuit that he's done with the whole thing. There is also a great cut scene you can find on youtube of how we would have been introduced to Roland, and it shows him to be a really honorable man if not a bit off. I'm not saying baiting with an infant for hunting isn't fucked up; I am saying, though, of all of the "bad guys" of the Jurassic franchise, I have always believed Roland was the best of them.

Puggle idk if you're seeing this but keep your head up. I've had family members go through the same thing you are and it's a hard road but we're all here for you. You can message me if you need to, just know this whole family loves you and supports you.

the first Jurassic park is hands down the best of the 6 movies. but the others can be enjoyable.

the dumbest thing vince vonn did was bring the baby t rex to the trailer.

I don't know that i am opposed to all baiting, it would depend on what it was and as long as it is legal in that area esp. if you depend on hunting for food, planting a pea patch on land you own to draw in a deer maybe, though it will feed them when not hunting season or decoys & calls for ducks, people use live bait for fishing all the time, worms, crickets, minnows. I don't like injuring and using young as bait, but I am also sort of glade the hunter survived.

I saw you looking at the camera when you saw the Japanese guys in suits running from the giant lizard...lol I never understood ppl who dislike this movie....Steven Spielberg made this one too! I consider it very much a good sequel to the first. The two books that Michael Crichton wrote of course were very different then these adaptations, but Spielberg i think did a good job.

I have no problem with hunting including big game in Africa and such, as long as it is done legally. Using/injuring the young as bait though is wrong, as far as I know in the US baiting of any kind is either illegal or very limited in what is allowed. once you start doing the illegal part that is when it becomes poaching. In africa the money from legal hunting $50,000 plus goes to support the local tribes and it pays for all the efforts to stop poaching. It plays a big role in conservation and health of the animals over all.

Love this one!

Ain't shit list for sure. This was actually one of my favorite movies when I was a kid and the guy who wrote the books ended up being one of my favorite science fiction authors before I even got around to reading the Jurassic Park books lol

Another fun reaction J! That bald actor who played the main hunter that you recognized was the guy who worked for Kaiser Sozay in The Usual Suspects, that may be where you remember him from. I hope Rom was good throughout the evening if the fireworks got worse. Poor baby. And Puglle (I hope I spelled that right)...we are all here for you bud. We can't go thru it with you, but please hold your family, J, Blank, the co-pilots and the rest of us here in your heart and mind and know we are all sending you positive vibes and the best of wishes and prayers. Whenever you feel down or are going thru a big struggle, keep that thought and let it warm your heart and know you will get thru this and we will all be here waiting to hear from you with the wonderful news you are healthy and better. We here may not be family by blood, but we are a family by choice. Big virtual hugs to you!

Roland is one of the few people in the franchise to escape getting what he deserved. LoL

Let me tell ya, those of us that hunt would NEVER kidnap the Offspring and bait the hell, ask some of us and baiting with ANYTHING is unsporting, luring them in with their baby is just WRONG.

A good sequel? I guess I'm about to find out!!!
