First Time Watching Star Wars: Attack of the Clones!!!

I know you're already on episode 3 editing, but I wanted to clarify why you saw Yoda basically be the fastest Jedi with a saber... There are 7 forms of lightsaber combat, sort of the same way MMA has multiple ways to fight, same concept... Yoda is "THE" master and developer of form 4, not "a" master, THE master... which is an aggressive form of lightsaber combat that uses the force to push acrobatics and constant movement while aggressively striking your opponent and deflecting your opponents attacks off to the side in order to create openings as you are constantly moving around and pushing forward striking aggressively. Yoda uses the force constantly while using this form of combat, and he reserves his energy when not in combat.

I make you all this solemn promise. If J gets Jedi robes, so will I.

I wondered if someone was going to answer that for him. Yeah she's older but not by that much, she was a just a child herself when her and Ani first met. Its a decade later they are both young adults, gorgeous with their hormones in full gear and put together closely in life and death situations and then sent to what had to be one of the most romantic locations to hide at lol. On top of the fact that child Anakin was already infatuated with her since the first movie. It was pretty much a given they'd fall for each other hard.

Yoda's natural body has to move with a cane because he is old old old, but he channels the force to help him move around during his saber fights. He's all but lifting himself around like they do with objects. It shows the incredible skill and control he has with not only saber fighting but the force itself. Imagine how good he was when his body wasn't so frail and could contribute to the fighting more... think about it, if he's still this good now when his body is failing and he's using the Force as a crutch, imagine him a couple hundred years younger. When Anakin made a comment about being as good as Yoda with the saber and Obi Wan says "only in your mind..." he wasn't exaggerating lol. The entire audience in the theater when I went to see it had a mixture of gasps and laughing in awe when Yoda busted out his moves. Can't wait for the next one Ep III is amazing and the fights sequences are the best.

I am pretty sure I am the only person in the world who cannot stand Yoda fights. Kinda addressed by others, but since most of the other answers were along the lines of "Watch The Clone Wars and Bad Batch," (both are good, but I can't imagine you'd have time in your schedule to watch 149 episodes of TV shows and 1 more additional movie.) there are some other details that can be given. The best spoiler-free way to put it is to not compare these troopers (As said by others, these are technically clone troopers) to what you see with the stormtroopers in the original trilogy. The reason that the clones showed up with Yoda to help the Jedi is because the clones were "The grand army of the Republic" and at the same time, the Jedi were part of the Republic as well. All on the same side for now. There are some nuances in these movies that people don't give enough credit for. As an example (and hopefully worded in a way that isn't considered spoilery), they spent all of Episode 1 showing Jar Jar as a clumsy but faithful and easily manipulated creature. So, then in this Padme has Jar Jar be her personal representative for the senate while she goes into hiding. After that, we see a meeting saying that the senate needs to give the chancellor emergency powers and that "If only Senator Amidala was here," giving Jar Jar the idea that if he's representing Padme and they say that Padme would do that, then he obviously should do that, leading to the approval of the emergency powers. Or in another subtle way for the Jedi Archives, when they say that "if an item doesn't appear in our records, it doesn't exist." This is showing the pure arrogance of the Jedi at this point and another crack in their armor, so to speak.

This is one of my favourite star wars movies because of the action. The fight between Obi Wan and Jango on Kamino and then also in space is so cool. Hundreds of Jedi vs thousands of droids in an arena was so cool. Then gunships swooping in and mowing down droids to save the Jedi was even cooler. Fun fact Samuel L Jackson's lightsaber has "BMF" engraved on it in reference to his wallet in Pulp Fiction.

The Fifth Element and the city scenes of Corison (excuse my spelling) play homage to the first real Sci Fi movie - Metropolis. Released in 1927, set in the far off future of 1977 with flying cars amid towering skyscrapers...lol.

Ray Park is the actor who played Maul- he also played Toad in the first X-Men movie, and he played Snake Eyes in the first GI Joe Movie. If you want to learn more about Maul Past watch Clone Wars.

frost1977

Clone troopers ARE not Stormtroopers. Gotta watch Bad Batch and Star Wars Rebels. Rebels leads into Rogue One film.

frost1977

Yoda was hiding out in the swamp cause he had like 9 felony warrants for disability fraud.

Mind ConTroll

a lot of the questions J, that you are asking are answered in the Clone Wars animated Show and Star Wars Rebels animated.

frost1977

no stormtroopers are not clones. and jango is boba's father of sorts.

frost1977

padme and anikin are human and 10 years past between episodes.

frost1977

YES!!!!

Well we all know what JLs turning point to the dark side would be. Anakin mom dies….. before Anakin can say a word .. JL like”OH! OH! EVERYONE GOTTA DIE”

Webwyrm

You ain’t my sister are ya?

ChickensAreRacist

You call THAT ‘big’?! Pshaw

ChickensAreRacist

Anakin was 9 in The Phantom Menace and 19 here; Padme was 14, now 24. It’s not that big of an age gap. 😂 I’m so excited for your Revenge of the Sith reaction!

Shannon

This is actually my favorite of the prequel trilogy. I really liked Jango and thought he should have been a bigger part overall.

Mike

I'm ride or die with ya, but I really do implore you to watch Mando season 1 & 2 before the sequel trilogy. They're incredible and absolutely the best of Disney StarWars along with rogue one.

Mike

Oh yeah. Let’s go!!!
