I generally like these movies, but these films do have issues I can understand why some people don't like them. I haven't really seen anyone who did not like the Prequels because of the overall Story arc for the characters. The prequels are still George Lucus's vision for the world he created. You do get into that with the Disney trilogy which is not George's vision. I am not going to get to much into that. Fans of a character or franchise do have a right to not like what was done with characters that some have loved for over 40 years.

It has created a divide in the fandom, and I don't want to push it one way or the other. I think everybody agrees that it is objectively a really high quality show, regardless of it being Star Wars. For me personally, I watched the first episodes with no expectations and it hooked me. It depends on what you want in a Star Wars show. It's not going to give you lightsabers, Jedi, or any kind of nostalgia, but it will give you an intricate story with many new interesting and complex characters that will lead Cassian Andor into Rogue One.

I have definitely noticed that there has not been any talk about seeing/skipping Solo. Which would be a shame. There are at least four key events (depending on how you want to count them) - including fixing some plot holes and explaining other details - that make Solo must-see.

Great reaction Brother J. To answer your questions about General Grievous, he is a member of the Kaleesh, a species of red-skinned humanoid reptilians from the planet Kalee, in Wild Space. They have yellow eyes with slit pupils. They are described as having flat, bat-like noses and elongated ears, and usually walked on their toes. He got injured and they put what they could salvage in the robotic body. Dooku is the one who offered him this tech body. Mace Windu is the cause of the cough. He got into an altercation with Grievous and used the force to crush his lungs, hence the cough.

they are sort of cannon unless the talk about the mandoverse retconning what happens, the sequals are just in the way, what John and Dave could do with Thrawn . i don't think they will be scrapped but they might get punted into an alternate timeline., the world between worlds could do a lot.

BBY and ABY = before yavin and after yavin this is a timestamp using the battle of Yavin where the original Death Star was destroyed. It acts like AD and BC for our own Calender. 1. Star Wars TMP episode 1 2. SW ATC episode 2 3 The Clone Wars Animated series 4. SW RVTS EP 3 the last season I think of the Clone Wars overlaps this. 5 The Bad Batch Animated - Note there is an 18 year gap between Episode 3 and Star wars A new Hope. 6 Obi won Kenobie Series [though i strongly recommend the fan edit that turns it into a 2:30h movie. without missing any key plot points. the next 3 all over lap and cover the same 5 to 6 years 2 of them will lead directly into SW: Rogue one. 7. Mandalorian Season 1 & 2 The book of Boba Fett Season one [ the last half is critical to see before] Mandalorian Season 3. Asokha Season 1 [this watches like a live-action Rebels Season 5] [there is more mando verse coming but has been made yet, the Mando verse is Suppose to wrap up with a Theatrical Released Film But that is a few years away. about 30 years after Return of the Jedi is the Disney Trilogy That is the timeline without giving away any spoilers.

There is a Fan edit that turns the series into a 2:30 hr movie that IMO is a lot better than the tv show, without losing any of the major plot points. People have a right to not like the show if thats how they feel.

I agree he should watch them, tho I like many think they're horrible. The Canon status tho may be Shakey. I never put any stock into the rumors of reboots until now, with the stock prices so low, the cruise ride ship thing being shut down, and merchandise sales at an all time low, this would be a valid play at saving the brand. Asoka is pulling decent ratings, but it's a fraction of where the d+ shows used to be at. Reboot or not they're looking at something to reinvigorate the brand, and I honestly don't know what else they can do. They left themselves a 20 yearish window, but the shows have to start setting up the sequels more and more in subsequent seasons, and the views just keep dropping. It's entirely possible given how much money Disney has lost on StarWars that they scrap 7-8-9 and use the silly force mirrors to retcon them. We see marvel making massive changes to address their failings after Ant-Man and secret invasion, but they didn't make 3 avengers movies set 30 years in the future, so they're not as pigeon held into position. The other option would be to sell LucasFilm all together, and if that happens I'd think a reboot is definitely going to happen, as the new owner would want to make money. Apple has looked at buying Disney outright also... which may or may not have the same effect on StarWars. Nothing related to the sequels is making them any money, the old movies still pull better views on D+ too, so really... some kind of heavy action is probably going to happen. Which ultimately will probably be best, even tho Rey, Kylo, Finn and Poe were all 3 great characters, as was Snoke, 7 set up for a good run, 8 just complicated the shit horribly, and they smoked crack writing 9 lol.

Unpopular opinion I know but this is my fave Star Wars movie, cos I’m an Anakin fan and loved how they show his human emotions turning him. Also just got myself a co pilot. Named him Goose cos he is my wingman. Loving every second so thanks for the inspiration J

The point about the arrogance of the Jedi Order is something that is fully explored in the game Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. It fully deconstructs the philosophy of the Jedi and the Sith and goes so deep into what good and evil means in the context of the Star Wars universe. Hyped for Rogue One, and hoping for Andor at some point. The best of the Disney era Star Wars builds up to the original trilogy.

Look, I'll be honest here. Watch the Sequel Trilogy if not for the fact that it's canon (whether die hard fans like it or not). There is a few good moments to be had as well. But more than just the movies, a reaction to the disney plus live action shows would be amazing.

I love this movie. So many things happen in these couple of hours. I love the character of Anakin and I admit I get teary-eyed every time once he pledges to the dark side and kills the jedi children and all the other Jedi's get killed. Now you know how Leia became a princess and Luke became a farm boy. However, hearing that Vader breath for the first time at the end still sends chills down my spine.

One of my favorite things about the prequels is the main bad guy of each movie adds up to Darth Vader. Darth Maul is a badass warrior, Dooku is a Fallen Jedi, and Grievous is a cyborg of sorts. Sound familiar? There's a lot of layers to these films that were overlooked at the time of their release, I'm just glad fans have come around and appreciate these films for the amazing story they're telling.
