Watching with you definitely made it easier. We played the main song from this at her funeral too so I just had to mute the ending scenes (I couldn't). She loved that song & the movie💜

Such a hilarious movie and Michael Clarke Duncan damn near steals the show, which says a lot considering the people around him in that movie.

I always forget Liv Tyler is Steven Tyler’s (Aerosmith) daughter until I rewatch this movie. Loved this reaction - the ending never fails to make me cry and I’ve watched this dozens of times.

(Also saw Deep Impact same place , when it came out. ) This and Deep Impact came out around the same time , but from different studios. Same with Dante's Peak and Volcano , and Tombstone and Wyatt Earp. Also it's part of the "Disaster Movie" Sub-Genre. (One of my fave sub-genre's. Not part of the "Animal Amuck" sub-genre , which is similar , but different.)

Armageddon is an un-apologetic "Made in Michael Bay" over-the-top-in-every-aspect mega production. In space. Aside from both involving world-ending asteroids, they're really not comparable. Favorite quote: "I forgot Owen Wilson was in this movie".

I didn't have a kid before and the feels now are almost too much for my heart to bear. Loved your reaction. I hope the pain from crying with a Sinus Infection goes away fast. 2023-11-14 01:32:50 +0000 UTCThis is one of the few movies where I left the theater tired from all the suspense, I enjoyed the movie, and i think this is my Fav MC. Duncan movie. Twister also would have done that to me [it hit theaters the weekend after an F3 tornado messed up downtown Fort Smith in 96, near where i live, they had a car with a telephone pole down on top of it in front of the theater.
