Something that always bothered me about Discovery was the lack of specificity in a lot of their naming choices. There are a lot of instances in the scripts where they stick things with really generic names. The ganglia that Kelpians have to detect threats? Those are “threat ganglia.” The Vulcan terrorists who are way into logic? They’re “logic extremists.” That crystal that allows you to travel through time? “Time crystal.” Even the binary star system that’s the flashpoint of the whole Klingon war never gets a proper name. It always puts me off whenever that type of thing comes up. It feels so un-Star Trek like, and not something they did with such frequency in earlier series. Is anybody else put off by this, or is it just me? Matt and Andy, your thoughts?

I think we can wrap all this together. Matt and "Sporecundus"?! utilize the spore drive to visit James Bond locations, only to find that the different Bond's still remember them.
