As a kid, I used to read Mark Twain and was fascinated by Clemons in general. After watching ‘Times Arrow Parts 1 and 2,’ my eleven year old brain hated him from this moment forward. Rewatching these episodes, however, I must say — I made the right choice.

I think they just wanted to play with fate, and this was a convenient way of doing it. That, and it felt like they wanted to do a Dr. Who episode instead of Star Trek, but that's just me.
