Excellent point

When you're on a mission to stop a biological superweapon you might want to bring along medical experts.

All Aboard the Nechayev and Jellico Train! Like Matt, I totally re-evaluated my opinion on (the first episode of) Chain of Command on this rewatch. I strongly dislike the Jellico- type of management style, and I hate managers who bark orders yet withhold information. I remember Jellico as being a total dick, but when I watched it again this week, I gotta say: Riker and Geordie are whiny little crybabies. As Starfleet officers, they should be prepared for change, and OBVIOUSLY the mission is a dangerous emergency situation! Get your shit together and ask questions later! I’m surprised Data didn’t notice it and try to school them! I always thought it was weird/funny that Beverly is on the secret commando team. Isn’t she kind of a lame choice? She’s way out of their league, she’s out of breath...((I may not sound like it, but I’m a woman. And the way you talk about Beverly and DeAHna has never bothered me). And don’t worry about Nechaeyev, in Memory Beta (fairly recently) she pay big for her hubris and dickishness.
