Is there an advantage to using their "shorts" option instead of a regular video? I do usually forget to look at the shorts on youtube, or just don't bother, because I follow too many channels to check that manually for each one. And unfortunately, shorts don't seem to give any notifications, which is the main way I keep up with current videos for my subscriptions. (Plus, frankly, their shorts player is annoying, at least when using a desktop web browser. It seems to be aimed mainly at mobile.)
