New tutorial: VFX Compositing Workflow/Hack in Blender 4.5

Hey guys!

In this tutorial we'll be doing a fun, quick and dirty VFX compositing workflow! This effect is a borderline hack, and it's all about creating an infinite background plane, and then projecting our video texture onto that from the camera's POV. Then we'll do some clever tricks to get reflections working, because all refractions, contact shadows and even subtle caustics happens automatically!

In the attachment to this post you'll find the video file we'll be using in this tutorial.

If you want to experiment with some of the other 3D tracked scenes I showed in the tutorial, check out the project files here in the Advanced Project file tier!

Hope you enjoy the video, and I hope you'll be having fun with this workflow! Thanks for watching!

@polyfjord I went down a rabbit hole because your new tutorial didnt work with my graphics card. My 5090 needs workload 😄 I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDOZNqMnWAk and they are talking about NVIDIAs approach which seems way better https://research.nvidia.com/labs/toronto-ai/difix3d/ the guy that interviewed NVIDIA about it also shares a guide how to install it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACPTiP98Pf8 IF you think this method is superior to yours, I think you can update your script to put in into your existing workflow. Let me know what you think :)

Very good. I'm currently following the compositing tutorial which you posted recently, and having the same video file as in the tutorial helps out a lot. appreciate it :)
