Neebs VS. Water Nymphs!

Wish I had more time to properly color this but I hope you guys can still tell whats going on.
I'm figuring out a backstory for Lug and I want to make him more complicated than a slime that has never experienced society. I'm thinking that he used to be part of a group of monsters that were recruited to guard a princess' tower.
Within the forest that surrounds the tower are many creatures meant to either dissuade knights/princes from continuing or to kill them if they get too far. The water nymphs' job is to seduce the incoming knights. If the men fall for their charms then they have free reign to eat them. Mmm girl dinner. Although being a tower guard is a comfortable lifestyle, there's always the chance someone strong will come through so it's a dangerous position for a monster to be in. Many prefer quieter monsterly lives.
Lug was the only slime to survive long enough to consume many men in the tower's forest and gain sentience, but he felt there was more to life than eating people. So he said goodbye to the other monsters (including the Nymphs) and went off on his adventure.
This is all a rough thought and things might change but I really like the idea of seeing the guarding monsters POV (kinda like the dragon from Shrek lol). Tell me what you think!
