Kree's Nest Reveal!
Added 2021-09-14 20:07:34 +0000 UTCHarpies craft their nests in different ways depending on taste and environment. Since Kree lives in a climate with harsh winters and hot summers, he chose to be covered on all sides in this spherical nest!
The entire floor of the nest is covered with blankets/ random cloths Kree found (stole) from people who set their laundry out to dry. They are stuffed underneath with old (but clean) feathers that he has naturally molted. It makes for quite a soft mattress. 🥰
The interior walls are covered in his "shiny things" collection! He prefers smaller items since they don't take up too much space and are easy to weave into the walls such as jewelry, coins, and shiny rocks.
Overall, comfort is key!

They typically go off on their own around 15 since a harpy reaches physical adulthood around then. Kree has built multiple nests of varying quality, this most recent one he has had for about 3 years now. Clara is 23 at the start of the story and Kree is around 38. Still very much a youngin in the eyes of other harpies. A fun fact is harpies do not show signs of aging to the human eye! Only other harpies can guess roughly how old another of their kind is.
