I think you bring up very interesting points and should definitely keep the narcissist thing and the heir thing in mind. The latter is my favorite subplot in the whole show. Upon rewatch, Uncle Jun really is defined from the outset and he's so good. This next run of episodes is also all straight bangers. On Chris being "a bad mofo" I have a read on that that I won't talk about til later but it didn't hit me til like a 3rd rewatch.
