Added 2024-09-01 22:30:53 +0000 UTCOur thoughts immediately after watching Borderlands. I guess technically this contains spoilers but I don't think it is actually possible to spoil anything in the movie.

Just watched it, thought it was Slightly better than I thought it'd be. Tried too hard sometimes, writing was amateur, casting was questionable. Didn't really know what type of emotion it wanted to be half the time. Was all over the place. But I turned my brain off and found it... eh fine.

2024-09-02 11:40:17 +0000 UTCHonestly it was nothing I wasn’t expecting. It took three years to come out only dropped one trailer where they didn’t even bother to add the release date at the end. I will say Kevin Hart surprised me as Roland but almost every character was miscast. I went in expecting nothing and I ended up enjoying the movie. It was bad but I did enjoy it.

The movie basically said “yup it’s a sewer.” In the games it’s a result of the Dahl corporation’s mining efforts of Pandora to find a/the vault. They dug into this acidic cave system. The movie was extremely uniquely not for Borderlands fans but also just a bad movie for anyone not familiar.
