2025-12-12 13:16:07 +0000 UTCGood morning! There are so many dead genres in games!!! RTS, and MMORPG are two genres I really desire new, and great games in. The last MMO RPG I got excited for was StarWars Knights of the Old Republic! (2011) By BioWare, graphics looked and played more like World of Warcraft. It was fun to hangout in the Rooster Teeth guild for the game, until everyone bailed and stopped playing due to lack of end game content… Knights of the Old Republic is my favorite Starwars game of all time. Excellent world building, romance options, multiple planets to explore, skill trees, and a cool turn based style combat (CRPG). You walk around in free 3rd person, and battle turn based. It’s got a lot of replay value, and when it came out it was graphically impressive, and had a long story compared to other games. Ran great on the Original Xbox. KOTOR2 was made by other developers, and the game’s story is choppy, inconsistent and missing content. The game fell flat compared to the original, and the 3rd game got scrapped… The community has made mods for the PC version, and filled in those missing content areas which has made the game a lot more cohesive. With all that said on the original games, I’m not holding my breath with the new KOTOR game. StarWars owned by Disney, has cancelled many projects. Whether it be movies, shows, or games. Until I see gameplay trailers, and a release date, this game is just a pipe dream. They were remaking the original KOTOR game, and that got shut down… Thanks for making my fri-yay, 30 minutes better!
