An UPDATE on the image posting situation.

TLDR:

- Patreon doesn’t seem to want to fix problem with posting images
- Fraser and I are looking into another way for you to view the art
- I’m posting banners with previews so you know what’s freshly posted

Hello, my beautiful Patrons.

Here’s the update I promised you in regards to my recent problem with posting images on Patreon!

After about a week of back and forth, the Patreon technical support team has basically told me that they are not going to invest any time trying to fix this problem as they are currently working on a new Patreon engine. They don’t want (or feel it important) to invest time fixing issues with the current version. Their latest message to me: 

“As I previously mentioned, our engineering team is diligently working on rebuilding the foundation of our product on a newly upgraded tech stack.

This will mean a better product with fewer bugs over the long term, but it means that in the near term we may not fix bugs on the old code unless they’re critical.”

So…

...apparently, an art site NOT BEING ABLE TO POST ART is NOT actually a significant or CRITICAL problem in their minds.

I’m very frustrated! I continue to post my art as attachments, and I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. I really hope this hasn’t lessened the fun you are having as a Patron.

It’s been super frustrating, especially because I feel as if Patreon’s tech service team has left me out in the cold, and, pretty much abandoned me.

I’ve always played by their rules and have always been very careful to respect their guidelines. I’ve run a successful campaign for 5 years now, and so I guess I was just hoping that all of that might merit their attention and that my problem would at least be addressed with sincerity. Instead, I feel I’ve been given the runaround.

All I can say for now is that hopefully, this new Patreon Engine will arrive SOON, and that it will provide a MUCH IMPROVED Patreon experience. I also hope that it’ll solve many of the existing sites’ annoying and, at times, debilitating glitches.

Meanwhile, Fraser and I are looking into another way of posting the art for you all to enjoy without having to download images to your computers & tablets. I will keep you in the loop regarding those efforts.

Lastly, I’ve converted my page’s header into a sort of billboard that now shows the month’s latest art and comics, to at least give you a sense of whether or not you’ve missed anything. I hope this will help you guys in keeping track of the art for your own collections.

Anyhow, thanks again for your patience, guys. I’m still drawing away, but dang it if this hasn’t been really deflating and made me feel rather bummed.
