I very rarely do this, but after talking with my dear friend DAVID CANTERO who encouraged me to do so, I thought I'd share a post that talks about my WRITING rather than my art!
MY BOYFRIEND IS A SUPERHERO #1 is now officially available on the CLASS COMICS website in print and digital formats, and I just wanted to talk to you about this awesome first issue which I wrote and the FABULOUS ALEXANDER illustrated!!
As you can see up above, I've prepared some saucy samples of the comic for you all to enjoy! ALEXANDER's drawings of SPACE CADET and NAKED JUSTICE are positively MOUTH-WATERING, and I think you'll agree that he depicts these two hot love-studs superbly well!
Each issue of "MBIAS" contains two separate 12-page stories that feature BYRON & FELIX and take us on some pretty wild, cream-soaked rides. We get to learn more about these two heroic hunks as superheroes, but also as people -- as a "real-life" couple trying to balance all of the various elements in their lives.
As the writer of this all-new issue, I'm personally signing the first 100 print copies sold.
March 16th marks the official beginning of the 20th-anniversary celebration of CLASS COMICS, and I couldn't be more proud to release MY BOYFRIEND IS A SUPERHERO #1 in tandem with that momentous occasion!

I think I'll have to visit that scenario in issues to come. Meanwhile, I love that you enjoyed the bathtub sequence so much. I really appreciate the support! ๐๐ Interestingly, "EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR" was written first, but I felt it lacked the "superhero" element which I feel was necessary to open up the series and establish the tone of the issue. SO I wrote "OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS" and it became the first story... but personally speaking, I love "EMPLOYEE" so much for so many reasons. The fact that it directly harkens back to NJ#1, more directly than "HAZARDS" and really reveals SO MUCH more than we've ever known about Felix makes me so happy! I love that you enjoyed it also. As for Gallagher... Heh! Heh! Heh! He'll pop back in for issue #2! Thank you again for your wonderful comments and support and for the very sweet anniversary wishes. Felix and Byron make for such a cute couple, it's really nice to see more of their relationship in their downtime, and I love how you guys are exploring their characters and insecurities with this series. I think Employee of the Year was my favourite story, always love to see some brawny hunks stripping out of formal wear, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we might see more of Felix's sexy boss Gallagher in the future ;). Happy 20th anniversary to Class Comics, Patrick, your afterword was lovely to read and you should be so proud of everything you've built. Here's to the next 20 years of slutty, sexy superhero comics!
