I have to say, it's always truly bittersweet (not to mention completely NERVE-WRACKING) to conclude a comic series. You're always so concerened you're gonna mess it up when all you want to do is do justice to your creation.
With issue #4, I knew that I wanted to show ISAIAH's journey up to this point. It felt poetic and quite... right to revisit all of these important moments in his recent life. We've been on quite a journey with him and I felt the need to pay homage to that.
In any case... you may not believe what happens next!!

Thanks so much, Malik. Yeah, this page was meant to show much of what Isaiah had lived through in the GAY FOR SLAY comic series. I didn't actively intend to divide the page and characters on it, I guess it just sorta happened that way! LOL! I'm really pleased you enjoyed it, though. And it certainly does feel like this character has lived many lives and go through so much. I especially like the dividing line which I think might be separating the humans and creatures? I might be wrong but I feel like that's a nice touch. Although I could be wrong because I think I see a woman on the left? But I still find it interesting. I will have to deep dive into the story when I get the chance. Really nice piece! I love it! π

I hoped most of my readers would make the link, but I still wanted this moment to be really devastating for Isaiah. I know, I know, I'm cruel! HA HA HA!ππ But I really feel it will allow for the much character growth in the end. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the flashback. That was pretty important to me too... we got to see what COULD HAVE BEEN in the earlier pages, and now we got tp see what WAS and WHAT'S ahead! I love the flashback element of this page so much, Patrick, it's such a nice reminder of the journey you've taken us on through this comic <3
