In actuality, FLORES' fate and return as an old man was planned LONG before STEVE ROGER'S return as an old-timer in AVENGERS: ENDGAME. That's the problem with the long game... sometimes, others beat you to a punch.
But that aside, I still feel that FLORES' return adds a poignancy to the story that is at once bitter and sweet. Not entirely good, but not completely bad either as two friends finally reconcile.

HA HA HA! Especially with Flores in his advanced age... that sight woulda been enough to do it!! But he's clearly made of sterner stuff than I am! LOL! I'm really pleased you enjoyed their reunion. Flores had to come back to really complete the series, and provide that full-circle conclusion that I felt everyone deserved. I don't think I fully realized how bittersweet it was going to be until I drew it, though. I'd like to think it makes for some good drama. LOL! Thanks again for the love and comments, Conor. Though I'm amazed Flores didn't keel over the moment that door opened to reveal Isaiah's meat hanging loose, he's a stronger man than I would be! XD XD

He was one of the first characters introduced in issue #1, and it just feels right (to me at least) that his arc should conclude here. And like I said, this was all planned for sooooo long... I just about CRIED when Avengers beat me to the "returns as an old man" punch. LOL! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ ๐
