Tiger Style Lesson WIP

This sequel was actually inspired by a video clip I saw many years ago of a guy having his ankles strung up by his own belt. Most of my inspiration comes from real world events which is why there's often a grounded theme to a lot of the situation (though this ones very much off the ground ^^).

The reason these are photos rather then scans is because HP decided to disable mine and asked for an online subscription to unlock it. Its 100% a scam so from now on I will be taking photos of my physical art and digitally drawing over them!

The real challenge of this one was all the interlocking limbs and perspective traps at the same time! Was still getting used to perspective so its not perfect but its clear enough what's happening. Had to change the stance of both the lower and left lers in the end. Initially wanted the lower tiger to be crouching down and the right tiger with a more back facing shoulder view but decided against both in the end with subtle changes all over.

This is the step just after block colouring where I use a lot of burn and dodge to get a bit of a 3d look going for things. Then comes all the proper shading!!!

This is all by far my least favourite part of the process because it takes so long. I'm also not particularly good at it either but it is essential to making everything more pleasing to the eye... of the tiger!

Speaking of eyes, its amazing how much life you can put in them simply by adding some simple shines. So if your characters ever feel just a little lifeless, see if you've added some eye shine but be sure not to make them symmetrical!
