Single Panel Comic Format: Yay or Nay
Added 2024-04-30 16:33:34 +0000 UTCI've been meaning to ask everyone, what are your thoughts regarding the single panel comic format I've been using lately? I remember before I started doing it on the regular there were people who were saying that it was their preferred format for comic stories, but I know from my marketing background (which mostly consists of watching commercials on YouTube when my adblocker is broken) that a vocal minority does not necessarily speak for the whole.
For my part, the one panel format is a mixed bag: Larger panels mean I get a story out faster, and larger characters are easier to draw and shade, but it is limiting in storytelling terms because I have only one image per page to get across dialogue and action.
I don't use the poll feature enough, so below is a poll to make your opinion heard. To clarify, no matter what the results, I still plan to rock both formats, single panel and muti-panel, for the foreseeable future. I may, however, lean more towards one or the other depending on audience preference.

2024-05-01 03:07:25 +0000 UTCI prefer multi panel (extra nudity per page) but I wouldn't be against what you think is best for the story, my suggestion would be mix depending on story type, for long comics (Lazer Lass, Police investigations) multi panel fits best, for short ones (Post interview) single page is better

2024-04-30 18:39:17 +0000 UTCWell; on my personal opinion I prefer multiple panel pages ๐ but sometimes a single panel can be nice too, but generally speaking, multiple panel pages is the way to go for comics ๐ (in my opinion)
