Episide 674: The Years-in-Review Revue (1975 & ’85)

It's a new year (well, new-ish at this point), and that means we take the time to look back across the decades to 30, 40, perhaps even 50 years ago to see what the world of gaming (and the world in general) was like back then. This is a Retronauts East joint, such as Retronauts East exists these days now that all the regulars have been scattered to the winds of other places and, in many cases, conflicting full-time employment. This time around, we take on 1975 and the console gaming releases of 1985. This of course means that there is at least one more of these in the pipeline! As always!!
Note that we recorded this episode five weeks ago, on January 20th, not really knowing how the coming month would play out. So there are some parts that have not aged well... like the sidebar on how much aviation safety has improved from the tempestuous days of the ’80s. Sorry about that. We talk about the past here and make no promises about our ability to predict the future....
