There's always a bigger fox (4k)

What started like a normal day like any other, was quickly turning into a living nightmare. Masses of people were fleeing; police cars were scattered across the city flattened by some kind of entity. What made the situation that much stranger, however, was the fact that this seemed to be some kind of mechanized threat; a robotic giant lizard was roaming through the city, almost as if some kind of crazy inventor had decided to unleash it onto mankind.

It’s metal claws left marks in the concrete, whilst the creature was clearly out to destroy. Buildings that were small enough for it to topple were being thrown over, whilst it’s metallic tail frequently sliced right through the pillars that gave buildings strength. It was clear that it was creating as much havoc as possible… and the inhabitants of this city were powerless to resist.

And thus, the army was called upon, to engage the metal behemoth in combat. Rockets fired, machine guns fired, and a unit of tanks rolled up in an attempt to bring the behemoth down. Unfortunately however, nothing seemed to work… which meant that an airstrike was called in. Not even 5 minutes later, air support arrived, and much like the weapons on the ground, the fighter jets also attempted to destroy the metal behemoth. Unfortunately for them however, these fighters were a lot more vulnerable than the military staff on the ground. With a single swoop of it’s arm, the planes were swatted out of the sky, only to crash right into the skyscrapers along the street that it was rampaging. Humanity could only resort to one more weapon… one that they did not like using, but the option was seriously considered.

Then, an even louder rumble came… and the floor shook violently, causing cars to shake onto their side. And another rumble… and another… something truly enormous was approaching, something even bigger than the metal behemoth that humanity was fighting. Something truly massive was spotted from a helicopter… only for an enormous figure to approach the city. Even the mechanized lizard was distracted at this point, and turned around to see what was going on.

Then, out of nowhere, the sky was obstructed by what could only be described as a titanic foot. Without warning, it lowered itself back down onto the ground… right on top of the enormous mechanical lizard! In an instant, the colossal toes forced the creature down onto it’s belly, and the sound of creaking metal could be heard… A loud, mechanized roar came from the creature, only to stock halfway through… the enormous foot had rolled towards the toes, effectively crushing the remainders of the lizard whilst blasting open the concrete. And just like that, it was over. The foot lifted up from the ground, leaving behind an entirely flattened lizard… and all that was left, was an enormous footprint in the concrete. Humanity would’ve never known it, but it all happened by freak Accident… Caroline was simply too late for an appointment at the beauty salon… and knocked a mechanized lizard out in her hurry.
