I'd post this on tumblr. but I feel this would get more attention than the finished product.

I need thoughts on the way the animation is done.

What I did here was shift the lines around. rather than drawing them individually. It makes it faster to do. but ultimately feels stiff and rigid to me.

Compared to this where I drew every frame.

the equivalent to what I've done here would be this.

moving the lines around, rather than drawing them everytime.

My intention is to reduce the wobbly lines. but it seems wiggly lines is how I work best. What do you think? I'm probably going to just do this the wobbly way regardless. But I don't know if the layfur can see if what I've done is stiff and rigid, or not.

I am sorry I don't have a solid answer for you, but thank you for sharing. I know what you're talking about with the wobbly look vs. stiff look, but I'm not sure which is better and I don't know enough to suggest how to mitigate either issue.. With short loops semi-random stuff like eyes blinking exactly being in sync with the looping stands out, and I think I notice that before I notice stiffness or wobbly stuff. That isn't a complaint or anything; just what I'd notice first. I actually really like this. It's cute and pushes several of my buttons.
