question to patrons on comics:should i do flat color or keep shading?

heres the deal, basically, if i switch to flats, i can get more comics faster

with shading, they look fancier and nicer to look at.

i want your thoughts?i asked before, but as i get more patrons, and more rewards, plus side stuff i keep wanting to do for you guys like animations, im really considering doing flats, but you guys are supporting this, so as i see it, you should have input on how i move forward. in the end, ihave to do whats best for getting you guys your content, and i def lean towards maybe going flat for speed sake, but i enjoy shading, so its a toughie for me.

personally I'd prefer quality over quantity.

In all honesty I'm in agreement with Daddy Horse ^^ do what feels right to you, an is the most comfortable for you

thanks bud ;u; alos you gotta send me info on your reward!!!

I am perfectly happy with whatever feels less like work for you. If you enjoy the shading and want to deliver at a slower pace, I am 100% on board with that. If you want to crank thru stories faster without shading, I support that just as much. Go with what your gut tells you is the right move!

Daddy Horse

this i will do for sure next upload this week :D

A test of a comic first pages

hmmmmm....i always wanted to try black and white. i think for the current installments it would be too big a jump, but there is more chapters of both so maybe ill do a small test run between chapter one and 2 of emily, a small side story testing black and whites :D

i see what you mean ;u; i always feel empty not doing the shading, and enjoy the process, the big issue is managing my patron rewards with comics, its why im considering the switch. next upload though ill upload an example of flats for comparison ;u;

i agree, i love shading, but i take so long between installments and i hate it, it costs me my flow with story and time xux

how i feel ;u;

i can defintely do that next update, which will be soon this week :D

I like more black and white. Manga or comic style Colors and shading only for covers or special chapters.}

Personally, I'm perfectly ok with better quality at the cost of a somewhat longer wait time. So shading's fine to me.

Mephy

Can we see a comparison on how flats would look opposed to shading?

As much as I love detail but hurrying up the process is also important you can try doing the next entry flat for testing purposes

Cocoa
