A New Mustard Formula

TL;DR: We’re tweaking Mustard’s format in order to deliver more videos, more often (the ultimate goal is every two weeks). The videos will still be great.. but a little different.

Firstly, thank you for all the amazing support!!

As you may have noticed, we didn't release a video last week. The short of it is that we simply weren’t happy with how the video was turning out. After six weeks of working hard on it, we realized that there was still a lot more work to do to make it a 'Mustard worthy'. We’re insufferable perfectionists.

As some of you may know there’s two of us behind Mustard. Both of us have full-time jobs
that we juggle alongside Mustard. Almost every bit of our free time goes into making videos: researching, scripting, modeling, animating, footage licensing, audio mixing, etc. Last week we came to conclusion that what we have been doing, hasn't really been working. Six to eight weeks between videos is just way too long... and it’s also kind of exhausting. We have so many amazing new topics we want to cover in the future and we will never be able to cover them with a few videos each year.

So we've decided to try a new lighter, more fun format over the next couple months. It should allow us to produce videos much more often (the ultimate goal is a new video every other week).  The videos are still gonna be great, but they’re going feel a little different. And we brought someone on board to help make it happen. His name is Dave and he's animation savant. He's working away at the next video as we speak.

Your support is appreciated way more than you all realize. But, if you decide to stop (or reduce your support) because you don’t love the new format that’s totally understandable! Just keep in mind it's still a bit of an experiment and it will take a few videos to nail the exact perfect balance between making videos often and keeping them as high quality as possible.  

We're busy making the next video and it will be here in a week or so!
