Once again, this is pretty experimental, so, not my best video ever. If you like it though, I guess, let me know, and I'll keep going? Maybe? Who knows.

The first several episodes of Brotherhood are actively not great in my opinion, they really rush through things to get to a certain point (because the audience at the time had already seen all these storylines) and then it takes off. Also the use of ''Fuhrer'' is very deliberate, it's a facist nation.

2021-08-13 17:01:00 +0000 UTCI enjoy the action in this episode. But it's literally filler. The studio wanted to trick the audiences into thinking it's an entirely new series from the 2003 version. Which... it kinda is. From this point on, it remains MOSTLY faithful to the manga. It does speed through a few things for the first few episodes. Again, they figure most people watched the 2003 anime, which was faithful for the first few arcs before diverting into madness. So if this episode feels weird and hamfisted... it's because it's trying to do a lot of different things. It's trying to hint at plotlines the 2003 version left out. Show characters that aren't supposed to appear till later. To let manga readers that they're gonna get it right this time. WHILE ALSO trying to show that it's a different show to anime only's.

It's completely unlike the rest of the show, it's pretty campy and generally just kind of cringy. I was honestly thinking the entire time when first seeing this "this is the show my friends are freaking out about?"

Would be interested in seeing the whole series as a reaction as things would only get better the more practice and comfortability you get. That being said, definitely recommend continuing to watch the show even without a reaction series!
