An update on the next video.
Added 2021-09-22 00:13:53 +0000 UTCFor all of you that are new, and there's a lot of you, I'll explain to you my uploading process. You may have been expecting a new video today, but I've run into some trouble like I do from time to time.
So as you can see in the video for The Painted Lady, there's a partially blocked symbol and a copyright claim. This is because Avatar is obviously copyrighted material. So I have to jump through a few hoops to make this video available for everyone. I need to win a copyright dispute with Viacom and Nelvana.
What the entails is that I do a little write up on why my video is fair use, and then they take the video in for review and see if they want to release the claim or not. USUALLY I win the copyright dispute early on Tuesday mornings, so that's why you guys get videos on Tuesdays. (Sometimes I lose the copyright dispute and that's all whole other way bigger headache that takes way longer, but usually I win.)
However, there are times when the decision just doesn't come in at all.
After I put my dispute in, I have no say at all in the timing of the matter. It is totally out of my hands at that point. Viacom and Nelvana can take up to a month to review my case if they want to. They haven't done that yet, but they could if they really wanted. As you can see the upload date is September 19th for The Painted Lady, but if I were to make it public it wouldn't be viewable for around 80% of you.
It could just so happen that it clears copyright tomorrow or the next day. It's usually a weekday at least. But I have literally no way of knowing. I'm not really on a hard and fast schedule. I post once a week if you Youtube Gods allow it, and if they don't, I just have to wait.
Hopefully you can all understand, and I'll have the video out as soon as I can.

Do they even think to dispute given how scary the wording is? Considering a dispute by a creator the BEGINNING of legal action is bullshit. The legal action began when they stole credit for your video, and they should be responsible for proving it. Sorry for the paragraph bro 😂 just passionate.
