Added 2025-01-02 19:53:20 +0000 UTCI've long postponed publishing these photos. I couldn't choose between the two. Together - there's no point, they're too similar. Although the first one seemed better - composition, contrast and readability of forms, but the eye lingered longer on the second photo. I finally understood why - it often happens that even our own works carry more meaning than we intended to show.
Manhattan, binoculars, the tense thoughtful pose and nudity - this was all planned. What wasn't planned was the door to the right of Manhattan. This door posed a question to me - is there any point in searching for a secret entrance behind the painted fireplace in Geppetto's workshop if there's an obvious one right next to it?
You might say I'm overthinking it, but this is probably why it was so difficult for me to decide.
