Russia-Ukraine Flash Report for 5-14-22 22:30 PDT - The Izyum Counteroffensive Has Begun
Added 2022-05-15 05:37:12 +0000 UTCKharkiv’s Regional State Administration head Oleh Synehubov confirmed what has been suspected since May 5 – Ukrainian forces are engaged in a counteroffensive northwest of Izyum.
The Borivka Village Council reported explosions in Russian-controlled Kunje, Pidvysoke, and Buaivka. The council said Russian units stationed at Pidvysoke had moved “en masse” to Horokhovatka closer to Izyum and directly on the west bank of the Oskil River. NASA FIRMS data has shown indications of fighting in this area for days, and there were reports on May 10 of Ukrainian forces being active in Chepil. We cannot independently verify these reports, but we believe they have significant weight.
